Faith without action is dead. You should find out whether your faith is alive. Some good examples of dead faith are, James vs 14 having faith that does not work cannot save you. In the picture of disserted saints, you find someone who is naked and in dire need of food. If you dismiss them and tell them to go in peace and be filled and warmed and you did not give them what they were in need of, that does not assist in any way. Empty words do not do any good. Actions would speak even louder than empty words. Hence, faith without work is already dead.
In another incident, one day a woman went out for shopping. It was in during the winter season, on her way she met a young boy who was shivering in the cold. He had pressed his face towards a window as he watched a pair of shoes inside the store. Woman asked the small boy “what are you doing out here in the cold”, the boy replied, “I am asking God to give me a pair of shoes”. The woman looked at his feet and found that his shoes were torn. She embraced the boy around her arms and walked with the buy toward the store. She took several pairs of shoes and later asked one of the clerks to bring that one pair which that boy desperately admired.
She walked to the counter and paid all the bills.
The boy was excited wearing the new shoes. As they walked towards the exit, the woman told the buy, “You will now be more comfortable”. The little buy turned to the woman and asked her, “Are you Gods wife”? Obviously, it is a no that woman was a child of God who had living faith. Her great faith could not allow her to leave that deserted boy who was in dire need.
In James vs 19, he said “You believe there is only one God?” That’s great because you do well, but remember, “Even demons believe but they tremble”. In Mark 1: 21-27, Jesus and His followers went to Capernaum. On the Sabbath day, He entered at a synagogue and taught. The listeners were astonished by His teachings. His teachings were more of a chosen one and not as a scribe.
Inside the synagogue, there was a man who had unclean spirit he cried out saying, “Let us alone Jesus of Nazareth did you come to destroy us? I know you are the Holy one of God”. The man later developed convulsions and he screamed even louder, the unclean spirit left him.
Everyone was amazed, they started murmuring among themselves, “What is this? Whose doctrine is this? So He has the authority to command even unclean spirits and they obey him”? Finally there was woman who had demons and they used to call her “Legion”. Then they crossed the other side of the sea, to a country known as Gadarenes. Having faith enables you to do the unbelievable and unseen. Therefore every person should have faith that is alive as they perform their day to day activities.
